Perila

Perila is a St. Petersburg-born, Berlin-based Perila sound visual artist, DJ and performer exploring sensitive borderlines and depths of subtle matter. Her sets and music are thick narratives drifting through a rich sound palette emerging the listener into a pretty personal trip. Constantly shifting moods and textures of mixes create comfort space for emotions to float, merge, evaporate and ride in a deep context. Perila was a designer and curator of Berlin Community Radio for four years where she had a monthly show. In addition to showcasing her unique ventures through ambient music, her show has also welcomed the likes of Andrew Pekler, Dynamo Dreesen, and Tomoko Sauvage.

In 2018, Perila played Berghain for Polymorphism’s Gost Zvuk showcase. She has graced the stages of some of Russia’s biggest festivals, such as Present Perfect and Signal. And in 2019 stepped legs into CTM, Atonal and Sustain Release. A passionate radio fan, Perila is also a co-founded of Russian online station radio.syg.ma, which specialises in experimental soundscapes. Another project curated by Perila is WET (Weird Erotic Tension), an online community exploring ideas of sonic sexuality in podcasts mixing spoken word, poetry, ASMR and field recordings. Since 2020 she is also engaged in several music projects such as Aseptic Stir, LOG, Critical Amnesia.
