Andras Eichstaedts große Leidenschaft ist die modulare Synthese analoger elektronischer Musik. Sein musikalischer Werdegang beginnt im osteuropäischen Underground auf den legendären illegalen Ill-Fests in Budapester U-Bahnstationen, wo er als Live Synth Set Wizkid lokale und internationale Bekanntheit erlangen konnte. Heute sieht man ihn in seiner Wahlheimat Wien als Medienkünstler, oder als Komponist für Thomas Feuerstein. Sein Umgang mit der modularen Tonhardware kommt, wie bei vielen, aus der Tradition des Plattenlabels und Kunstumfelds von Warp. Sein Zugang ist aber etwas persönlicher und eigenständiger als genreüblich, ein Ergebnis ausgeklügelter und intensiver Auseinandersetzung mit den Möglichkeiten modular – synthetischer Tonerzeugung.
