Oren Ambarchi & Eric Thielemans

Oren Ambarchi is a composer and multi-instrumentalist, a brilliant, manic producer of more and more and even more, with an incredible 117 releases—if Discogs hasn’t miscounted. And all consistently at a level of intensity and quality that brings him to concert stages around the world. His constant reselfinvention also leads him to produce, improvise an collbarate  for example with Alvin Lucier, Keiji Haino, Jim O’Rourke, Ricardo Villalobos, or Stephen O’Malley.

Eric Thielemans originally comes from percussive jazz but uses his skills to transcend it, often through collaborations with the likes of Mika Vainio, Charlemagne Palestine, Marshall Allen (Sun Ra), or in our case with Oren Ambarchi.

At the Heart of Noise, we’ll hear variations of their two joint albums Kind Regards and Double Consciousness. Hypnagogic jazz, as it's been called—hauntology, soul and spirit, from old-school Mike Oldfield (yes, really!) to drone and off into outer space.
