Ekin Fil
Ekin Fil is the solo moniker of Ekin Üzeltüzenci from Istanbul.Her music is very personal and heartbreakingly delicate; whether rushing through some industrial noises cut by ambient breaks, or story telling with dreamy gazes. Opening for Grouper Show in Istanbul in 2009 connected Ekin Üzeltüzenci to Jefre-Cantu-Ledesma’s Root Strata and an evolving US West-coast ambient-folk and drone scene.
Ekin Fil has played live at different venues in Istanbul, Ankara, Berlin, Hamburg, Krefeld, Offenbach, Cologne, Valetta (Malta), Mainz, Warsaw, Wroclow. She also played Le Guess Who? 2017 as part of the programme curated by Grouper. Apart from her solo albums and other recordings, she has been composing music for short and long feature movies for a while.
